KNOWLEDGE DISSEMINATION PROGRAMME

A Knowledge Dissemination Programme for faculty and students of engineering colleges, working professionals from R & D organisations and industry has been launched with an objective to offer short modular courses preferably of 10 hours duration on a niche topic. The courses are targeted towards students and faculty members of TEQIP-II Institutions, IIT Kharagpur students, entrepreneurs, working professionals from R & D organisations and industry.

The modular courses would be conducted live through Video conferencing at IIT Kharagpur campuses in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar using the NKN enabled classrooms from IIT Kharagpur. For a wider outreach and to enable the faculty and students of TEQIP-II institutions & working professionals to attend the programme after their office/class hours, the Live/Video modular courses will be conducted during evening/weekends.

The salient features of the programme are:

• The modular courses are on a niche topic having a wide outreach.
• The module is composed of 5 lectures of 2-hours duration which will be delivered in the evening during week days / weekends.
• Participants of the programme are students and faculty members of TEQIP-II funded institution and working professionals from research and developments organisation and industry. The participants can attend the course at IIT Kharagpur or its campuses located at Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. IIT Kharagpur students can attend the same at IIT Kharagpur.
• The lectures will be delivered by the faculty members from one of the NKN enabled class rooms at IIT Kharagpur in Vikramshila complex /J.C Bose Laboratory complex/Center for Educational Technology and will be available LIVE to the participants at Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
• On successful completion of the course a certificate of participation will be issued to all candidates by CE office on recommendation from the Coordinator
